Mistajam added to the #DECA10 line up

One of our favourite DJ’s here at RWD, Mistajam has just been confirmed for the #DECA10 line up. We can’t wait for the BBC Radio 1/1Xtra DJ to take to the decks and take us on an exploration into all kinds of bass!!! Considering the set Jam pulled off for our 100th issue party last year we’re looking forward to seeing what he’s got planned for a whole decade worth of celebrations.

Since bursting onto the scene a while back now via Aftershock Recordings Mz Bratt has been doing her own thing and obviously well, signing to Atlantic not too long ago. Look out for Bratt’s new single Tear It All Down already killing it on the airwaves hopefully she’ll drop it down at the #DECA10 Launch in her set.

2006 – 2008 – RWD x MTV

We thought we’d drop a little history on you all and raid the RWD vaults. Back in 2006 RWD’s About To Blow section grew so big that it just being in the magazine simply wasn’t enough, MTV Base took the opportunity to recognise the same talent we were and helped push the movement even further by televising the section. The likes of Chipmunk, Davinche, Adam Deacon and dubstep on the whole all got prime time airing on the MTV Base channel, the crew liked RWD so much they even made it down to capture our epic as ever event, RWD In Stereo!

In September 2006 we thought rather than focus on the players in the scene like we had been since the early garage days within the magazine it was time to shine a light on the growing dubstep scene and MTV came along for the ride.

By the time 2008 came around Chipmunk stepped onto the scene as did Adam Deacon both reflecting a new wave of underground acts out to make their mark in the growing scene…
